"From CNN Hero to Education Champion: Nelly Cheboi's Mission to End Poverty in Kenya"
Nelly Cheboi, the 2022 CNN Hero of the Year, returned to Kenya to bring hope to the students she serves in rural Mogotio. Her nonprofit, TechLit Africa, brings computer science to students using refurbished computers, providing digital skills and global opportunities. Cheboi's goal for the year is to set up computer labs and TechLit Africa programs in 100 schools in rural Africa, helping to lift more students out of poverty.
