HBO is discussing a new "Game of Thrones" prequel about Aegon I Targaryen's conquest of Westeros, which would tell the story of how Aegon and his sister-wives used their army and three dragons to conquer six of the seven kingdoms on Westeros. The project is in its early stages, and no writer is currently attached. There may be a feature component to the project, and plans remain in flux. This would be the latest Westeros-based project at HBO, following the success of "House of the Dragon."
