Israeli Tank Fire Kills Journalist Issam Abdallah in Lebanon
Investigations by Reuters and human rights groups have concluded that an Israeli tank firing in quick succession killed journalist Issam Abdallah and injured six others while they were filming in Lebanon. The reports presented evidence including munitions fragments, satellite images, survivor accounts, and video recordings. The attacks, which targeted a group of journalists clearly identified as press, should be investigated as possible war crimes, according to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. Israel has promised to investigate the incident but has not yet released any findings.
