NH Wedding Venue Floor Collapse Traps Dozens, Several Hospitalized
Dozens of first responders rushed to the Sap House venue at the Preserve at Chocorua in Tamworth after a floor collapse during a wedding on March 21, trapping about half of the roughly 144 guests in the basement. Six people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries; no fatalities were reported at publication. Investigators from the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office say the building may have been over capacity, and the incident remains under active investigation.
