
Sheriff's Deputy Fatally Attacked by Dog While Dog-Sitting in Indiana
Tamieka White, a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana, died after protecting her young son during a dog attack in her home. Her son was also bitten but is recovering. The attacking dog was fatally shot by a responding officer. The dog was not owned by White, and animal control has impounded the deceased dog, three additional dogs, and a cat from the home.
