The Mixed Reception of Marvel's Secret Invasion Adaptation.
Marvel's Secret Invasion director, Ali Selim, was told not to read the comics before making the show. The series is more focused on the relationship between Nick Fury and Talos, rather than the classic comic book story arc. The show takes a different route entirely, with the Skrull being introduced in Captain Marvel and heading off to find a new home with the help of Carol Danvers. Selim admitted that the comics did inspire some elements of the new series, but they weren't anchored to them. IGN's review of Secret Invasion Episodes 1 and 2 gave it 7/10.
