Oregon Jury Awards $260M to Woman in J&J Talc Cancer Case
A Beaverton woman, Kyung Lee, was awarded $260 million by a Portland jury after claiming Johnson & Johnson's talc-based Baby Powder caused her mesothelioma. The jury found the company directly responsible due to asbestos in the product. Johnson & Johnson plans to appeal the decision, asserting the safety of their talc products.
