NTSB Calls for Speeding Warnings in Cars After Deadly Nevada Crash
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has determined that "systemic deficiencies" in how Nevada agencies and courts share information contributed to a fatal crash in 2022 that killed nine people. The driver, Gary Dean Robinson, had a history of speeding and drug impairment, but his driving record did not accurately reflect his violations. The NTSB recommended that vehicle manufacturers install speed alert software and that states improve procedures for sharing traffic citation data.
