French Playground Stabbing Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder as Victims Recover.
The suspect in the knife attack in Annecy, France, that left six people injured, including four children, is facing attempted murder charges. The 31-year-old Syrian asylum-seeker arrived in France from Sweden in 2022 and was not previously known by French law enforcement. Eyewitnesses reported that the attacker entered the playground to target the children. French authorities have no indication that the attack was terror-related.
