DNA from the wife of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has been found on the bodies of the victims, according to reports. Asa Ellerup, who has not been considered a suspect, had her DNA matched to samples collected from the victims. Investigators had previously linked hair found on the victims to Ellerup. Heuermann has been charged with the murders of three sex workers and is the prime suspect in the killing of a fourth woman. Ellerup filed for divorce from Heuermann after he was charged.

Texas Shooting Suspect's Partner Arrested, Governor's Remarks Criticized.

The wife of Francisco Oropeza, a Texas man suspected of killing five of his neighbors, has been arrested for hindering the four-day manhunt for her husband, who was also taken into custody. Divimara Lamar Nava, 53, was arrested on a felony charge of hindering the apprehension or prosecution of a known felon. Oropeza had been shooting rounds on his property and attacked his neighbors after they asked him to go farther away because the gunfire was keeping a baby awake. All of the victims were from Honduras. Oropeza is a Mexican national who has been deported four times between 2009 and 2016.
