Survivor's harrowing account of the deadly Hamas attack at Israel's Nova festival
Vlada Patapov, the young woman seen in the iconic red-shawl photo fleeing the attack at the Nova festival, has been identified as a 25-year-old mother who survived while her friends were killed by Hamas terrorists. Patapov and her friends were at the festival when they heard shooting and realized they had to run for their lives. She managed to escape the scene of the massacre by hopping into a car, but several of her friends were not as fortunate. Patapov expressed guilt over surviving and the pain that others are still enduring, emphasizing the need to remember the hostages still in Gaza.
