Des Moines Schools Superintendent Detained by ICE and Placed on Leave
The Des Moines Public School Board placed Superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts on administrative leave after his detention by ICE for being in the U.S. illegally and possessing a loaded handgun, despite previous assurances of his citizenship; he is currently held in jail, and interim leadership continues.
