The Banned Turkish Zigana Pistols Used in Atiq Ahmad and Ashraf Killings.
The assailants who killed Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf used Turkish Zigana F semi-automatic pistols, which are banned in India but have become a preferred choice of weapon for gangsters due to their accuracy and smooth firing. The Zigana can fire 15 rounds of 9mm bullets without overheating or jamming. The killers, who surrendered after the shooting, were identified as Luvlesh Tiwari, Mohit Singh, and Arun Maurya, with Mohit being a sharpshooter of the Sundar Bhati gang and Arun having connections with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
