Searchlight Pictures has announced a summer release date for the sci-fi anthology film "Kinds of Kindness," directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, and others. The film follows Stone's Oscar-winning performance in Lanthimos' "Poor Things" and their previous collaboration on "The Favourite." Lanthimos teased that the film consists of three different stories, with the edit currently in progress. Stone is also set to star in Ari Aster's A24 Western film "Eddington."

Square Enix released a new gameplay video for Visions of Mana, the latest installment in the Mana/Seiken Densetsu series, revealing a summer release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The game series celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2021, and an anime adaptation of Legend of Mana premiered in October 2022 as part of the anniversary celebrations.

Disney's new live-action adaptation of "Haunted Mansion" debuted with a disappointing $33.3 million worldwide opening weekend, falling short of expectations given its reported $150 million production budget. The film, positioned as a summer blockbuster, earned $24.2 million in the United States, landing in the #3 spot at the box office. With the general rule of thumb being that movies need to earn 2.5 to 3 times their production budget to turn a profit, it is unlikely that "Haunted Mansion" will achieve this. Disney may opt to release the film on Disney+ for Halloween instead. This is Disney's second attempt at adapting the popular theme park attraction, with the previous 2003 version starring Eddie Murphy also struggling to turn a profit.

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski has written and executive produced a new animated film, Babylon 5: The Road Home, which will continue the story of the 1990s sci-fi series. The film features returning cast members and follows John Sheridan as he travels through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment plan to release the film this summer.

Christopher Nolan unveiled new footage from his upcoming movie "Oppenheimer" at CinemaCon. The film is a sweeping look at the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who helped create the atomic bomb. The movie is shot in 70mm with Imax cameras and stars Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer. The film is set to release on July 21 and is one of the most ambitious big studio summer releases in years.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, the fifth entry in the 2.5D puzzle-platforming series, is set to release this summer on Switch and other platforms. The game features co-op puzzle-solving, stunning visuals, and creatively head-scratching puzzles. Each of the three characters has new abilities, and the difficulty level changes the puzzles. The game also includes a new Ghost mechanic to revive friends in co-op. Trine 5 can be played alone or with up to four people in Unlimited multiplayer.
