JCPS aims to resolve transportation crisis and resume in-person classes by next week
Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky plans to return students to class by the middle of next week after experiencing transportation issues on the first day of school. Some students spent hours on buses, getting home as late as 10 p.m. Superintendent Marty Pollio blamed the implementation of new bus routes and school start times for the problems. The district recently started using an AI program to plan routes and assign bus stops, but the changes have caused confusion and frustration among bus drivers and parents.
