Epstein’s CBP ties at St. Thomas examined in FBI files, with no charges
Newly released government files show Epstein cultivated extensive contacts with Customs and Border Protection officers at St. Thomas and other airports, including inviting officers to the island and helping with pre-clearance, while federal investigators opened a preliminary inquiry in 2019 and subpoenaed some officers’ credit reports; no CBP officer was charged, and although Epstein’s pilot and several agents were interviewed, there is no evidence in the released materials that officers knew of or participated in trafficking.
