Carowinds' Tallest and Fastest Roller Coaster Reopens After Repairing Crack
Carowinds amusement park in North Carolina has reopened its Fury 325 giga roller coaster after it was closed in June due to a crack on the support beam. The ride underwent repairs and testing, including the installation of a new steel support beam, and passed a final inspection by the North Carolina Department of Labor. The crack was initially discovered by a visitor who alerted park employees and the local fire department. The Fury 325 is known as the tallest, fastest, and longest giga coaster in North America, reaching speeds of up to 95 mph and a peak height of 325 feet.
