Ukraine's Army Makes Gains in Bakhmut Front to End Stalemate.
The Ukrainian army is making progress on the Bakhmut front, capturing strategic heights and forcing enemy forces to defend their positions. The Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar, confirmed that counteroffensive operations are ongoing, including in the south of Ukraine. Russia claims the Ukrainian counteroffensive is in response to defeats suffered by the Russian army on the Bakhmut front. Small-scale battles are continuing in the south of Ukraine.
