"Omaha Firefighters Brave Storm Sewer to Rescue Swept-Away Worker"
A worker who was swept away in a downtown Omaha storm sewer was found clinging to a grate near the Missouri River, blocks away from where he disappeared. Firefighters cut the grate and rescued the worker, who was taken to the hospital in an awake and alert condition. The incident occurred during heavy rain while two workers were in a manhole, with one being pulled out earlier. Multiple rescue crews were involved in the search and the worker was eventually located near 4th and Jones.
