Tom Petty's family has accused Boston auction house RR Auction of stealing his clothing to sell at auction, including a famous black and white striped jacket, a Greenpeace jumper, and a black cap. Petty's family alleges that all of the items have "an established provenance in the Petty family's secure storage" and is pursuing legal action for their immediate return. RR Auction's attorney said the company takes theft allegations seriously and will continue to investigate. Petty died in 2017.
