Ukrainian authorities have requested Turkey to seize a Panama-flagged ship, Bomustafa O, carrying 19,000 tons of barley, which they allege was stolen from areas of Ukraine occupied by Russia. The ship docked in the Turkish Black Sea port of Samsun on Monday, and Ukrainian prosecutors wrote to Turkish authorities days earlier asking them to seize the ship, claiming that it had loaded barley at a port in Russian-occupied Crimea.
