Harvard Medical School faces backlash over alleged body thefts.
A case involving stolen body parts from Harvard Medical School morgue began with a tip from an ex-lover to the police about suspected human remains in the basement of Jeremy Pauley's home in Pennsylvania. Pauley, a body modification artist and collector of oddities, was found in possession of three full skeletons and approximately 15 to 20 human skulls. The investigation led to multiple agencies and several states, including Arkansas, where Candace Scott had allegedly been shipping Pauley body parts she'd stolen from the mortuary where she worked. Cedric and Denise Lodge, a New Hampshire couple, were also accused of selling cadavers stolen from Harvard Medical School.
