A defence of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull's infamous "fridge nuking" scene argues that while it is admittedly stupid, it is unfairly maligned and not the wrong kind of dumb for the franchise. The scene is preceded by a wonderfully surreal sequence and followed by the most affecting image of the entire movie, making it an exceptional moment in an otherwise messy film.
