
NBCUniversal Ends First-Run Syndication, Shuttering Access Hollywood and More
NBCUniversal is winding down its first-run syndication division, ending Access Hollywood and related talk shows Karamo and the Steve Wilkos Show, while continuing to distribute its existing library and off-network titles. Production of new first-run programs will cease, with Access Hollywood producing new episodes through September and Clarkson Show also wrapping this year, as NBCU cites changing audience economics and streaming fragmentation shaping daytime TV.
