Steve Gaynor, the controversial co-founder of Fullbright, is now working as a solo developer under the Fullbright name after accusations of toxic workplace behavior. Fullbright's upcoming game, Open Roads, will no longer be credited as a Fullbright production and will be credited to "The Open Roads Team" at launch. Gaynor has been working on a new Fullbright game as a solo developer for the last year.
Open Roads, the upcoming indie game published by Annapurna Interactive, will no longer be associated with Fullbright, the studio co-founded by its former creative director Steve Gaynor. Gaynor stepped down from the project earlier this year following allegations of mistreatment from employees, and the development team is now simply called "The Open Roads Team." Gaynor has announced his total departure from the project and is now working independently on a new game. Open Roads is still in development, with no release date announced yet.
