Lansing Police Identify Fatally Shot Individual in Officer-Involved Incident
Lansing police responded to a domestic assault call and encountered a man, identified as Stephen Ruis Romero, who presented a gun. Officers engaged the suspect and shots were fired, resulting in Romero's death. The woman who initially called 911 was found unharmed. Two officers are on paid administrative leave, and the shooting investigation has been handed over to the Michigan State Police.
