Rapper YNW Melly's retrial for the murder of two childhood friends has been rescheduled to start on October 9th. He is also expected to have additional defense attorneys added to his legal team. The defense lawyers have informed the judge about the upcoming changes, citing "multi-faceted issues" in the retrial. In addition, a request for a new deposition for a police detective was made by the defense. YNW Melly had previously faced a mistrial in July after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
