"Star Trek: Very Short Treks Celebrates 50 Years of Animation and Returns with George Takei"
CBS Studios has announced the release of "Star Trek: very Short Treks," a collection of five animated shorts in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series. The shorts will feature characters from various Star Trek series and will be available for streaming on StarTrek.com and the Star Trek YouTube channel. The first episode will debut on Star Trek Day, with subsequent episodes releasing on Wednesdays starting September 13th. The cast includes George Takei, Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes, and other beloved Star Trek actors.
