A hazmat incident at Sharp Corporation in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania led to 52 people being transported to the hospital for evaluation after reporting symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and headaches due to a chemical smell in the building. Hazmat crews are still investigating the cause of the illness, and 22 of the affected individuals were taken to St. Luke's hospital in Allentown, where they are reported to be stable and will be discharged.
