Pittsburgh mourns the loss of sports icon Stan Savran.
Stan Savran, a legendary sports personality in Pittsburgh for over 50 years, has passed away at the age of 76. Savran was a fixture on television and radio in western Pennsylvania, making a name for himself as a sportscaster on WTAE and co-hosting "SportsBeat" with his colleague and friend Guy Junker. He continued to work in television while hosting his daytime show on ESPN Radio until earlier this year when his health troubles forced him to step away. The Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates immediately posted tributes on Twitter.
