Rescue Efforts Intensify for Trapped American Caver in Turkish Cave
American caver Mark Dickey, who fell ill while exploring the Morca cave in southern Turkey, has been brought closer to the surface by rescuers. After being brought to a base camp at 700 meters below ground level to rest, he has now been moved up to 180 meters from the surface. The rescue operation, involving personnel from eight countries, is expected to take up to 10 days depending on Dickey's condition.
