The operation involved firing rockets to create confusion and cover, while teams of fighters on hang gliders secured the terrain for a ground assault. An elite commando unit breached the fortified Gaza fence, raided Israeli defense lines, and seized bases and headquarters. Drones were used for border surveillance, and an intelligence unit monitored Israeli soldiers and their movements.
