Valve has revealed that players who got access to the CS2 beta early already had a certain amount of hours played, and only these original hours were taken into account. Idling on official matchmaking servers in CS:GO does not increase your chances of making into the CS2 Limited Test. The beta and any early access will simply be dealt out as Valve sees fit, and currently, only a selection of players have been granted access to the beta.

Valve's New Logo Sparks Speculation of Counter-Strike 2 Release

Valve has teased the release of Counter-Strike 2, which will bring CS:GO onto the Source 2 engine, by changing the header image of the CS:GO Twitter account to what could potentially be a new logo for CS2. While there is no official confirmation of the release date, the unique design of the logo and the Always Sunny memes used by Valve suggest that something could be coming very soon. However, the ongoing ESL Pro League may delay the release until next week.
