Ferrari unveils first soft-top convertible in over 50 years with the Roma Spider.
Ferrari has unveiled the Roma Spider, its newest convertible, which replaces the Portofino M as the brand's entry-level droptop. The car features a soft-top roof, which takes 13.5 seconds to deploy and can be activated at speeds of up to 37 mph. The Roma Spider is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V-8 engine, delivering a peak 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. The car's chassis has been modified to compensate for the lack of a fixed roof, and the car's dry weight is 3,430 pounds. Pricing and market launch timing in the U.S. have not been announced.
