Buffalo Unveils Comprehensive Winter Snow Plan with Emergency Services and Fleet Manager
The City of Buffalo has filled the positions of emergency services manager and fleet manager after a nationwide search, following the deadly Christmas Blizzard last year. The city released its winter snow plan report, which includes a tiered system for storm classification and increased coordination between departments. The plan also involves adding new snow plowing vehicles, setting aside funds for emergency snow removal, and identifying nine warming shelters throughout the city. The Buffalo Common Council will review the plan, and the public will have an opportunity to comment on it next week.
