Lee Canyon Avalanche: Four Missing People Found Safe
Lee Canyon ski area in Las Vegas will remain closed until at least Tuesday following an avalanche that occurred above the Sherwood chairlift, affecting several trails. The resort suspended all operations, conducted a search, and located one person who required assistance. No other people were reported missing, and a probe line was performed as a precaution. State Route 156 and State Route 157 were closed, but everyone was eventually located and safe. The ski area will remain closed, and guests with purchased lift tickets will be refunded.
