The new Mercedes-AMG E53 features a 3.0-liter gasoline engine producing 443 hp, combined with a 161 hp electric motor for a total system output of 577 hp, or 603 hp with launch control. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds for the sedan and has a plug-in hybrid setup with a 21.22 kWh battery pack, offering over 62 miles of electric range. The E53 also boasts a stiffer body, rear-wheel steering, wider front fenders, and a more aggressive design. The sedan is set to be released in the United States later this year, with pricing to be announced.
