"Stream 'Sisu': The Ultimate Nazi-Killing Action Movie"

Finnish WWII exploitation movie Sisu pits a prospector against a platoon of Nazis in a gory, over-the-top, pulp-cinema chaos. The ultraviolence becomes more of an end and less of a means before the final villain gets his righteous comeuppance. The movie is infectiously gleeful in its near-biblical anti-Nazi bloodlust, making it a must-watch for those who've spent way too much time pining for white supremacists to suffer the consequences of their actions and their prejudices.

'Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret' Film Adaptation Surprises with Strong Box Office Numbers.

Lionsgate releases two movies this weekend, the long-awaited feature take of Judy Blume’s 1970 novel, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret aimed at women, and their pickup of the Sony Stage 6 Finnish genre title Sisu, aimed at genre dudes. Meanwhile, Illumination/Universal/Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros Movie is expected to lead the box office for the third week in a row, while Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4 becomes the top-grossing installment in the franchise stateside.

Sisu clip showcases intense Nazi combat.

Finnish World War II thriller Sisu, which follows a gold prospector and war vet harassed by Nazi officers who want his gold, releases in theaters on April 28. The movie won Best Film, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, and Best Music at the 55th Sitges Film Festival. Lionsgate is distributing the movie in the U.S. and hoping to recapture the success of the John Wick franchise.
