As of 2025, the community has voted on the best Sims 4 expansion packs, with favorites including Get To Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, and Seasons, among others, reflecting a decade of diverse content and gameplay enhancements.
The Sims 4 received a major update on November 4th, 2025, with over 150 bug fixes, new free West African-themed content for Create a Sim and Build Mode, new recipes like Jollof Rice, and community-created items, along with various gameplay improvements across multiple platforms.
The new Sims 4 expansion pack, "For Rent," allows players to become landlords and earn money by owning and renting out properties. The pack introduces Residential Rentals, including duplexes and townhomes, expanding on the previous apartment feature. The expansion also offers a Southeast Asian-inspired world, Night Markets, Pool Parties, new decor, activities, and even a new death option. "For Rent" will be available on various platforms starting December 7th.
EA has officially announced the release of Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion pack, which includes horses, mini goats and sheep, cookouts, and dances, all in a western-themed ranching community. The expansion pack adds the ability to rescue or purchase horses, or to create and customize them through Create A Sim. The biggest new feature coming with the expansion pack is horses, which can form social bonds with sims and increase their skills. Sims can also harvest Prairie Grass to feed their animals on the ranch, make use of Horse Manure to fertilize plants, and produce Nectar. The expansion arrives on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on July 20 for $40.
