Kiki Shepard, longtime host of Showtime at the Apollo from 1987 to 2002, died at 74 from a massive heart attack, TMZ reporting via her representative. Shepard also acted on TV shows like A Different World, Baywatch, and NYPD Blue, appeared in Thunder in Paradise, and later played herself on Everybody Hates Chris and Grey’s Anatomy; she had a small uncredited part in The Wiz (1978).
