Showers and storms are expected to continue in the D.C.-area for the next few days, but a strong cool front will bring drier and cooler weather by Thursday, giving a taste of autumn. The weekend will warm up again, but remain rain-free.
The D.C.-area can expect another comfortably warm day with low humidity, before mugginess and storm chances return. Today will be mostly to partly sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s. Showers and storms are possible tomorrow, both in the morning and late in the day. Friday will bring hotter temperatures in the 90s and another chance of storms. The weekend will see cooler temperatures and a few more showers and storms, with highs in the mid-80s to low 80s.
The D.C.-area can expect partly cloudy skies with a few afternoon storms today, followed by scattered to numerous late-day storms tomorrow as a weak front arrives. Temperatures will be near 90 to low 90s today and mid-80s to near 90 tomorrow. Some storms on Sunday could be severe, with a risk of damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and lightning. Monday will bring a break with lower humidity and temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s, followed by continued sunny weather and rising temperatures towards 90 for the rest of the workweek.
