Amazon's New Shipping Service Takes on FedEx and UPS
Amazon has relaunched its shipping service, Amazon Shipping, which competes with carriers like FedEx and UPS. The service allows sellers to ship Amazon orders or products sold on other sites without storing their products in Amazon's warehouses. Amazon paused the program in 2020 to handle the surge in online shopping during the pandemic but has now made it available to more selling partners. The company has been expanding its logistics footprint and improving shipping speeds, with over half of Prime orders in the top 60 U.S. metro areas arriving the same day or the next.
