"Shigeru Ban's Paper Log House: Rebuilding Tourism in Morocco after Earthquake"
Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning architect Shigeru Ban has created a prototype of his Paper Log House model in Morocco to provide temporary housing for victims of the recent earthquake. The structure, made of cardboard tubes and prefabricated wooden panels, was installed at the National School of Architecture of Marrakech. Ban's non-governmental organization, Voluntary Architects' Network, collaborated on the project. Ban aims to assess affected areas and identify potential sites for installing the structures. The Paper Log House model has previously been used in disaster relief efforts in Japan and Turkey.
