
Disney Legend and 'Mary Poppins' Songwriter Richard Sherman Dies at 95
Renowned Disney composer Richard Sherman, known for iconic songs like "It's a Small World" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," has died at age 95 from age-related illnesses. Along with his brother Robert, Sherman created music that defined Disney's legacy and earned numerous awards. Disney CEO Bob Iger and film historian Leonard Maltin praised his contributions to music and his optimistic spirit. Sherman is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A private service will be held on May 31, with a larger celebration planned later.
