Bonnie Hitchings, a woman from Otsego County, Michigan, won a $1 million jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery's Cashword Times 20 instant game. She initially wanted to buy a different ticket but ended up purchasing the winning ticket because the one she wanted was sold out. Hitchings plans to take a trip to Alaska and invest the remaining money after receiving a one-time, lump-sum payment of $634,000.
