Deadly Attack on Iranian Police Station Leaves 11 Dead, Multiple Injured
Gunmen suspected to be members of a separatist group attacked a police station in southeastern Iran, killing 11 people and injuring eight others. The attack, attributed to Jaish al-Adl, occurred in Rask town and resulted in the deaths of senior police officers and soldiers. The militants, known for conducting hit-and-run operations from their hideouts in Pakistan, did not immediately claim responsibility. The region has seen a rise in low-level insurgency activities against the government, with militants targeting police stations. Sistan and Baluchestan province, where the attack took place, has been a site of anti-government demonstrations and grievances from the Baluch minority.
