Nissan is recalling 236,000 Sentra sedans from model years 2020 through 2022 due to a potential steering control problem caused by bent or broken tie rods in the car's suspension. The recall was prompted by concerns that the tie rods may have insufficient strength and could deform under certain operating conditions. Nissan will notify owners and replace the tie rods free of charge once parts become available, with repairs expected to be completed in the winter of 2023-24. This is not the first recall related to tie rod issues for the Nissan Sentra, as a previous recall was issued in June 2021.
