Missouri Governor Commutes Sentence of Chiefs Coach's Son
Missouri Governor Mike Parson has commuted the three-year sentence of Britt Reid, son of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who was convicted in a DUI crash that severely injured five-year-old Ariel Young. Reid will be under house arrest until Oct. 31, 2025, with strict probation conditions, including weekly meetings with a parole officer, behavioral counseling, peer support, and community service. Ariel's mother expressed disappointment that Reid didn't receive the maximum sentence, as her daughter had to undergo extensive recovery after the crash.
