Sekisui House, a top-tier house manufacturer in Japan, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire M.D.C. Holdings, one of the leading homebuilders in the U.S., in an all-cash transaction valued at $4.9 billion. The acquisition will create the fifth largest homebuilder in the U.S., expanding Sekisui House's presence and advancing its global vision to "make home the happiest place in the world."
