American Airlines announced five new Europe routes for summer 2026, including new destinations Budapest and Prague, and expanded service to Milan, Athens, and Zurich, with some routes being seasonal and others year-round, primarily using Boeing 787-8 and 777 aircraft, as part of its limited long-haul expansion.

The Greenville-Spartanburg route will operate on Mondays and Fridays, while the Denver route will initially run on Thursdays and Sundays before expanding to include Wednesdays and Saturdays. One-way fares start at $79 for Greenville-Spartanburg and $99 for Denver. This expansion follows Breeze's recent announcement of additional flights from TF Green to San Diego and other destinations, with the seasonal flights scheduled to continue until early September.
